San Lorenzo Way Bridge in Felton to Close Sept. 15 – Oct. 9

Tree Removal Ahead of Bridge Replacement

The San Lorenzo Way Bridge in Felton will be closed to all traffic, 24 hours a day, from Tuesday, September 15 through Friday, October 9, 2026 while crews remove trees in preparation for the bridge’s replacement.

The bridge sits at the intersection of Highway 9 and San Lorenzo Way and connects Highway 9 to San Lorenzo Way and Rose Acres Lane. During the closure, drivers heading to San Lorenzo Way should use the detour at the southern end of Mount Hermon Road. Please allow extra travel time and use caution in the area.

Removing the trees clears the way for crews to relocate utilities, an early step in the San Lorenzo Way Bridge Replacement Project. Construction of the new bridge is scheduled to begin in 2027.
